AVID Microchips
Thousands of dogs and cats without identification tags wind up at animal control centers and animal shelters every year. Collars can become frayed and break and indoor cats who don't normally wear collars can easily slip through an open door or window when no one is looking. Microchips provide an easy and permanent way to identify your pet should this happen.
About the size of a long grain of rice, the AVID microchip is encoded with a nine digit number specific to your pet and is usually implanted between the should blades. The implanting is similar to receiving a vaccine and can be done any time your pet visits the hospital.
